Patient Stories
What our Sol Sisters say.
"Dr. Cooke has exceeded my expectations in a doctor-patient relationship. She always provides the time necessary to convey my personal medical needs in a manner that does not belittle my beliefs. I sometimes forget she is my doctor and not a sister friend."
Sol DPC Patient"Dr. Cooke takes the time to assess every need and address every concern with the utmost attention and compassion. She is thorough, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to her patients' well-being. I couldn't imagine being under the care of any other provider."
Sol DPC Patient"I never feel rushed when I meet with her. Dr. Cooke's office is very cozy and inviting — it's like having a cup of tea with a friend. The added convenience of on-site labs with little to no wait time is a huge plus."
Sol DPC PatientCommon Questions
Your questions, answered.
Do you accept insurance?
No — and that's intentional. The insurance-based system has left Black women behind. At Sol, we work directly for our patients with transparent, affordable membership pricing and no surprise bills.
Do I need a membership to be seen?
No membership is required for your VIP Physical — this is a standalone visit available to new patients, scheduled annually pending availability. We are currently accepting waitlist registrations. For ongoing follow-up care and continued access to Dr. Cooke, a Sol membership is required.
Do you only see Black women?
No — we welcome all patients regardless of race, gender, or background. Our focus is Black women's health, but any patient who aligns with our mission is welcome. (Ages 12 and up.)
What does a DPC membership include?
Unrushed primary care visits, direct access to Dr. Cooke by phone/text/email, annual labs, and a wealth of included services — all for a flat monthly fee with no co-pays or surprise bills.
Do I still need health insurance?
We recommend maintaining insurance for emergencies, specialists, and hospitalizations. DPC covers up to 90% of your primary care needs, but catastrophic events can happen to anyone.
Are aesthetic services available to non-members?
Yes! Our med spa services — skincare, laser hair removal, hair restoration — are open to all patients, no primary care membership required.
Your health deserves this.
